AdClickMedia is a relatively new CPC/PPC (cost per click/pay per click) advertising network, owned by Multiple Stream Media, LLC, out of Hurley, New York. As an online money making tool, AdClickMedia offers publishers three ad formats to place on their websites, blogs and social networking pages; and anywhere else publishers have the capacity to insert HTML code, so long as AdClickMedia approves of the placement.
Aesthetically innovative, the photo text ad format allows advertisers to upload images of their choice to be shown in conjunction with their text ad. Including imagery with text ads has recently been proven beyond the shadow of a doubt to increase conversions for advertisers, and increase CTR (click-through rate) for publishers. As noted in many of our other reviews, providing your website or blog visitors with information presented in a manner that is new to them sparks automatic interest.
The AdClickMedia banner option, while still in beta, does not appear to have any bugs or glitches; and, the banners are very good looking, indicating that AdClickMedia has a high standard for advertisers. This translates into relevant, 'clickable' ads for publishers, indicating a profitable affiliation probability.
The interstitial ad format is also very pleasing, aesthetically; and, is no more or less 'intrusive' than any other advertising network's interstitials. However, as our objective with this site is to steer our visitors in the wisest financial direction when it comes to making money online, we are obligated to note that AdClickMedia's interstitials only pay-out on a CPC basis, at $.10/click. Given the nature of interstitial advertising, we would not advise using any interstitial from any network that does not also pay on a CPM (cost per 1000 impressions) and/or CPV (cost per view) basis, as the simple fact of the matter is that interstitials are going to alienate some of your website or blog visitors. Most of your site's users will tolerate them, and there is even a tiny fraction that really enjoy them; however, the set that hates them will never return to your website or blog--it is our opinion that publishers should be compensated for the high probability of losing a small percentage of their site traffic. But, as always, such considerations are site-specific, and you should try whatever you feel might suit the nature of your web property. To be blunt, remember you are looking to make money on the Internet--not for e-buddies.
The AdClickMedia dashboard is very navigable and extremely intuitive. After sign-up and acceptance into the program, you are presented with a screen that separates your advertiser and publisher accounts. When clicking on the "my publisher account" tag, one is then taken to the ad set-up screen, where you will select your ad format. After you have made your selection, you will be presented with your customization options. The generated code is then easily implemented into your web property.
Tracking and reporting does appear to be in real time, and publishers are provided the option to delete creatives (ad units) that they no longer want or need, which is an option not available with all networks, and assists publishers with keeping their user dashboard neat and organized.
The payment threshold with AdClickMedia is relatively high, at $50.00. If in a month one does not reach this threshold, earnings are carried-over into the following month and on it goes until the threshold is met. Payment is by PayPal or check. AdClickMedia pays on time, every time. For those wishing to advertise with AdClickMedia, it should be noted that their billing is automatically renewed, as opposed to stopping at a predetermined budget amount, to ensure continuity of service.
Revenue share is up to 60%, which is average. As is the case with all smaller ad networks, EPC (earnings per click) is what we would consider to be low. For us, averaging at $.05/click. However, this does not mean that you will not make money, as publishers need to take into account the quality and novelty of the formats which are a determining variable for CTR (click through rates). Again, people click on new ad formats and aesthetically pleasing ad formats more often than formats they have been hyper-exposed to, or dumpy, unprofessional looking creatives. In the end accounting, when placed in an apples-to-apples comparison with a network that proves a higher average EPC, but a lower average CTR, things look quite a bit more appealing. In short, one's eCPM (net earnings per 1000 impressions) with AdClickMedia have a high probability of being comparable to an ad network with an average EPC 2, 3, and even 4 times higher.
