InText.net is a new CPC (cost-per-click) ad network owned by AdManage helping you to make money with your website or blog, specializing in in-text advertising. In-text advertising is an unobtrusive, user-initiated form of advertising wherein high-value words and phrases in your website's or blog's text content is underlined and highlighted a different color than your text content. When your site's visitors mouse-over these highlighted words, an 'ad bubble' appears that is contextually relevant to the content of the page. In-text advertising, being user-initiated, is arguably the most user-friendly form of advertising and converts well for most verticals and niches. Quality advertisers gravitate towards this method of online advertising as it sends highly converting traffic their way given that only truly interested individuals tend to A.) hover-over a highlighted word, and then B.) click on the advertisement. The in-text ad format is typically paid for by advertisers by way of PPC/CPC (pay-per-click/cost-per-click): An advertiser only pays for the clicks on his or her advertisement. For an advertiser, this decreases overall ad-spend, while increasing ROI (return on investment). For publishers/affiliates, this increases valid CTR (click-through rates), thereby making you more money. 

InText has developed plugins for the most popular CMS and blogging platforms, such as Wordpress, Drupal, Joomla and Blogger. Code is also available for standard website integration; however, the integration guide instructs one to enter the code into the <head> of the document, which many individuals who are using a site builder will not have access to, as this poses a security risk to the platform provider. That being said, we played around with it a bit, and when integrating the InText code into the <body> section of a page that has little other ad code installed, we have not experience any problems with ads appearing, or impression and click tracking. The reporting feature in the dashboard is very nice, and displays daily, website, country and referral data; as well as CTR (click-through rate), RPC (revenue per click) and eCPM (earnings per 1000 impressions). 
Although results will vary, our EPC (earnings per click) have been low--$.03/click average. However, InText--being new--will require time to build its advertising as well as its publisher base; and, to be fair and transparent, we tested InText on a brand new site with minimal traffic and low Google page rank. So, it stands to reason, and is usually the case, that the more trafficked one's site is, the less RON (Run of the Network) ads will appear and the more optimized your account will be; this should mean significantly higher EPC for those of you with a good amount of traffic.
While some other in-text ad format providers only offer one in-text ad unit color and design for keyword highlights, InText offers up to twelve, with unique smart lightbulb icon which appears next to each underlined keyword. InText also automatically signs up affiliates to the Advertiser Referral Program by way of a, "Your Ad Here" link appearing at the top of each ad unit. The affiliate of the ad unit earns 5% commission for the life of the advertiser. Affiliates can also enable a feature that allows visitors to their site(s) to turn the adds off, thereby satisfying users highly sensitive to any form of advertising. As of the date of this review, revenue share with InText is 65%. Load time is exceptional, which is often an issue with the in-text format.
In the "tips" sidebar on our homepage, we mentioned that the bigger ad network is not always the better ad network, and this holds particularly true for in-text advertising. Generally speaking, the smaller or newer network will have a more 'balanced' bank of advertisers--from fortune 500 advertisers, to small and medium sized business and entrepreneurs. Moreover, click-through rates are 
generally better or at least as good given that a greater amount of niches are served by smaller, less 'mainstream' networks. Entry requirements are also fairly high for the larger networks, and typically lower for the smaller. So, for these reasons it would be advantageous to at least experiment with InText as a free way to make money online, and see how they work for you.  
Unfortunately, one thing we have to report is that InText seems to be following in the footsteps of its parent company, AdManage, in terms of customer service for publishers: It's bad. However, as things currently stand in this industry, newer publishers looking for tools to make money with their website, or make money with their blog, will usually have to weigh the balance of a great, relevant and free product with their need for publisher support to make the wisest financial decisions: If you are making $100 per month serving InText's ads, does it really matter that they never bothered to return that email you sent about manually optimizing your account?...Probably not.
